Taliban detain female polling staff in Bannu

BANNU: Local Taliban detained female polling staff working for the National Assembly by-election for the Bannu seat on Thursday. The staff-members are being kept at the Government Primary School, Khidry Mohammad Khel. According to a private TV channel, the Taliban have said that ahead of the election, candidates and militants agreed that women would not poll votes. sana
